Sitting close to the road the exterior façade looks much the same as it did in 1796 except for the living room addition that was probably added in the 1800s.
The front porch has been rebuilt and a beautiful New England fence adapted from a churchyard in Bennington, Vermont has been added.
The major changes take place in the rear where a chicken coop kitchen has been replaced with a light filled gourmet kitchen.
The second floor master bedroom has also been added.
French doors in the same six over six pattern have made several rather dark rooms much brighter and allowed for better circulation of air throughout the house.
Rooflines of the new additions tuck nicely and complement the rear and sidewalls.
